Books at the Buzz to host signing for local author By Linda Settle Special correspondent Jon Musgrave became a familiar name in this region during the late 1990s when he received well-deserved recognition for his work on one of Southern Illinois' most infamous landmarks, the Old Slave House near Equality. Musgrave's interest in both the issue of slavery in Illinois and the house itself developed while he was working as a reporter for the Daily Register in Harrisburg.
